JOURNALISM EXPERIENCE:

WONDERY (Los Angeles, CA)

Story Producer on Miniseries // Feb 2021 - April 2024

  • Produced a series about the assassination of journalist, Daphne Caruana Galizia. It held the number 1 podcast in the US and Canada for one week. 

  • Reported and produced the third season of Wondery’s flagship miniseries, Dr. Death. Which is currently being developed into a TV miniseries at Peacock. 

  • Produce audio stories from start to finish, including scouting, research, booking, recording, cutting tape, writing scripts and host copy, and getting a rough mix. 

  • Assist other producers with conducting interviews, research and filing FOIAs.

  • Working to develop and grow the internal pitch pipeline for Wondery.

  • Produced audio stories from start to finish, including scouting, research, booking, recording, cutting tape, and getting a rough mix. 

  • Worked closely with other producers and editors to vet and craft their stories.

REVEAL, FROM THE CENTER FOR INVESTIGATIVE REPORTING (Emeryville, CA)

Investigative Reporter (Freelance) // Feb 2019 - Nov 2019

  • Produced a twenty minute feature on a rogue cop from start to finish, including original reporting, source development, data sleuthing, public records requests, researching court documents, booking, recording, cutting tape, writing host open copy, and getting a rough mix. 

  • Built and cleaned a database of officer data to initially determine that the troubled officer had been rehired after being terminated for his previous actions. 

  • Successfully appealed several denials to my initial Public Records Requests by the San Francisco Police Department. 

  • The story also helped with a push to reform how police move from one department to the next—which was passed into law last year as Senate Bill 2.  

INVESTIGATIVE REPORTING PROGRAM (Berkeley, CA)

Investigative Illustrator (Freelance) // May 2018 - July 2018

  • Recreated a helicopter crash for a feature documentary, “Who Killed Lt. Van Dorn?”

  • Working with various FOIA’d documents I created detailed and compelling illustrations that matched the historical record.
